vilda hästar

A political poetic club performance – a musical monologue by Isabel Cruz Liljegren, Helena Sandström Cruz and composer Johen Rafael Tilli.

Premiered at club Trädgården, Stockholm in summer 2014.

Struggle, solidarity, and electronic pop are the keywords for the performance, which begins with a failed assassination attempt. The creators drew inspiration from, among other things, the revolutionary romanticism of the Baader-Meinhof group, the art happenings of the 60s, and the dramaturgy of the musical theatre genre.

The performance was one of the initiatives that independent groups were taking in political performing arts leading up to the parliamentary elections of 2014. The ambition was to inspire young club-goers to increased political engagement and passion. The production was carried out with the support of the Swedish Arts Council and Kulturbryggan.
